Thoughts on judging this 67 windshield?

    Thoughts on judging this 67 windshield?

    It has the correct date code, I'm curious what you guys think of the shape of the shaded part at the top of the glass (left side of the photo).

    If it were mine don't know I'd be a happy camper ....as shading appears to be uneven (consistant) top to bottom across the shaded area. Is this the case Chris?

      I don't think so. I think what you're seeing is the reflection of something.

        I believe it is probably a reproduction...aka...not typical. On the originals I have seen the shading curves down at the sides of the windshield somewhat and is thicker there. It is a rather subtle change, described in the JG as "The tinted upper portion on original windshields appears narrower in the middle than at the outer edges.."

          Dave, it is a reproduction, but I'm not sure about the deduction (if any).

          If you look closely at my second picture, you can see that near the right side, the tint DOES turn downward a bit. It is really subtle, and my picture isn't the highest quality, but it looks pretty good to me.
