I need help determining the correct main body to throttle plate gasket. The renew kit does not have ny that match to the original on the carb. This particular carb is a replacement and as far as I know has never been apart before. Searching the archives I found a discussion where someone was asking the very same question but it was never really answered. Does anybody know the Holley part number for this gasket The difference in gaskets are small holes on both sides of the gasket (primary & secondary sides) that are open to the transfer slots in the throttle plate. The original gasket has the holes, the replacement does not. Which is correct? Should I just use the replacement and make my own holes to match the original removed?? What are the purpose of these holes? Thanks!

Re: Holley 4160 List 3367 gasket help
Clem, thanks for responding. I only use Holley kits too. After studying the 2 gaskets I was able to figure out that the 2 holes on each side that go over the transfer slots in the plate serve no purpose-there are no corresponding holes in the main body! So I went ahead and used it and we'll see how it goes.- Top

Re: Holley 4160 List 3367 gasket help
one time holley started punching only one hole in the float bowl gasket for the accelerator pump passage and if you were not careful you could install it the wrong way and had no pump shot. they must have had a lot of complaints because they soon went back to the gasket with 2 holes so no matter which way you installed it the pump would work. i even got caught once on this deal.- Top
