    1967 -427 A.I.R. Thermostat Housing Spacer

Does anyone have information as to why a spacer was used under the thermostat housing for A.I.R. motors in 1967?

Hi there. I don't have any idea, but I will look for the contact info for Mark Gorney. He is a guru on Smog stuff. I met him at the Kissimmee meet and he was assisting with the judging of an L79 with smog. His knowledge was beyond impressive. I too have an L79 with Smog and learned a ton from him in the few minutes I spent with him. I will look for his info and pass it along to you. ARA
