vacuum hose to distributor routing question 1969 350/350

After quite a bit of time passing due to various reasons, I'm getting back on the 69 to finish the restoration.

I purchased a new vacuum hose kit and am stuck on one detail.

The instructions with the hose kit says to attach a hose to the vacuum fitting on the manifold which runs to a plastic valve, then runs on to a metal valve.

My question is with the vacuum pod on the distributor.

Do I need a dual port manifold fitting? One to the plastic valve and one to the vacuum advance pod? Or is it T'ed off to the distributor pod, then off to the valve.

When I tore this car down it had an after market intake on it and I can't find any detail in the assenbly manual regarding this.

    Thanks

    John,

Not sure who you bought the kit from, but based on your description I'm going to guess it wasn't Doc Rebuild.

Here is his pic of the spark hoses. They don't connect at all to the fitting on the manifold:

Here's a general pic of the main vacuum system. Note that the fitting on the manifold to the filter and then to the silver check valve don't get near your distributor:

      That answers my question perfectly.

My problem was that I assumed the distributor attached to the manifold port.

      Thanks.
