Well.....its final........I am swapping my 2" magnaflow setup (only 1.5 years old) for the original N11 RPO, which is 2,5" off road exhaust setup. Just placed the order at Corvette Central and for USD 553 for the complete set I think it is a good deal.

This change comes together with a switch from 327-250 + PG to 327-300 + M21, I hope to achieve a sweeter and more exiting drive.

I can wait to hit the pedal again.......

My N11 from CC just came in; hope to put them on next weekend. I ordered only the mufflers since I have a 427. I think the sound will be good!

I am 'real' close to doing the same to mine.
Can I politely request that you gents please post how the installation, fit and most importantly, how she sounds and performs after all done.

Surely will. Since I'm installing only the mufflers, I hope to have no problems. I, too, was worried about the sound because CC's video clip did not impress me. Another member said that the engine in that clip had been stroked and that the sound of a stock 427 is just like original. "Quiet enough to carry on a conversation but loud enough to set off the alarm at the mall" is the way he put it!

For sure I will share the installation on the forum.

One of my friends has a 63 split with 327-300 + N11 and the sound is Like Larry describes....at idle very nice and normal, but when hitting the pedal you immediately smile. I will ask him to install his clip for you.

Hi Michael:

I was going to order the new CC off road system for a recent replacement project on my 67 small block, but the video clip on the CC site sounded more "raspy" than I care for. I believe that the yellow Corvette used in the video has a non-stock big block, so I'm not sure how representative that video is.

I called CC and asked about this, and they told me that the off road system is LOUD; louder than the Magnaflow mufflers.

Based on this, I chickened out and ordered a "medium loud" system (one baffle removed) from Allens. The Allens system is only slightly louder than stock. If anything, I'd like it to be just a bit louder.

So, I'm very interested to learn how your CC system sounds on a stock small block. If you can post a video clip on youtube or something, that would be great. At a minimum, please post your impressions here on the TDB.

I've heard Sanders SWC with with the new CC N11's and it is louder but not over the top. I do love the Magnaflows as well but I do love the new N11's a bit more... so I've ordered the N11's for my own SWC which is currently undergoing hers restoration...

Yes, Werner Meier's yellow 67 that is on CC's webiste, is a 502 with some 'other' features. I believe he refers to the car as his StinkRay.........

hahaha - I knew it; saw it on some website; i believe the car has both regular and side pipes with bypass right? Well anyhow - not the typical car to judge the sound of the N11 pipes from.

Well, that explains a lot. Why would CC choose that car to be in it's ad for N11 exhaust since it's not representative of the sound? And thanks for reassuring me that the yellow Corvette has both sidepipes and an under-car exhaust. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me!

I got one of the first sets of N11's from CC and I must say they sound great... I'm a happy camper with them on..
