1968 duct ques?

I need to know if the center duct and the defroster have to be specfic for a 68 a/c car or both peices from the same year in order to fit under dash. I had the dash out and an unable to get everything back in. I bought some used parts did some cut a splice but Its not fitting together . I have been trying to incorporate the correct drivers side duct in this puzzle with no luck Thanks

My 68 has a/c. I believe the center upper, lower and driverside ducts are 68 specific. I believe, but not positive, that the passenger side duct might interchange with other years.

thanks for the in put Bryan I new about the drivers side and the taper on that is unque to 68 So yeah of cause the center it mates would also have to be so the next ques is ? how about the defroster vent I'm thinking the curve may be in the wrong place causing everthing out of wack

I wish I could remember the details about the defrost duct but it has been awhile since I've had it apart. I don't recall any fit problems when I re-installed my duct work. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

The center defrost and heat for foot well duct fits somewhat loose on my 68 as I remember. I sealed the interface with ducting tape. Paint dark so it don't stand out and trim as thin as possible for the persistent judge.

hi gene thanks for your input My problem is I attempted to combine two center ducts to make one As i said earlier I got some ducts from a yard in south carolina they where not 68 ,The center section I made may not be true and he defroster duct may have been from the Sc batch now I am thinking start from scratch with pure 68 parts
