if anyone here has a big block corvette or muscle car
with a Q jet that seems to lay down on the top end i would check to make sure that it was rebuilt with a "windowed" needle/seat combo because the fuel can not flow fast enough up past the needle without the windows. most all rebuilt kits come without the windowed needle seat and you must modify the needle seat for more flow by drilling a .125 diameter thru both side of the needle seat just above the internal needle seat. this must be done because of the small volume of the float bowl and its need to be refilled quickly. remember a Q jet has only one small float bowl to feed all 4 barrels
