My 89 17k mile car did not have any...the "boot" i belive you are referring to is a black plastic cover.
I did put black flat head screws in but realized that the seat held the cover in position. If the screws worked out it would have rubbed/torn the seat, thus I concluded there were no screws to begin with.Pete Bergmann
