Hi folks -
In preparing to set the (internally adjustable) float settings on the 3810 I'm rebuilding for my '67 L-79, I notice the following contradictory info in the two reference materials I have:
Chevy Overhaul/Service manuals:
Primary .170"; secondary .300"
Holley Illustrated Parts and Specs (36-51-7):
Primary 5/16" (.3125"); Secondary 11/32" (.34375")
Anyone know which is correct (especially for the primary where the difference is rather large)?? Or has anyone used one of these settings and found it worked?
I see that the same specs are given in each reference for the '66 3367 that has externally adjustable floats. I suspect the difference probably came from GM and Holley measuring different float levels on carbs that were supposedly set the same.....
I'm inclined to "split the difference"......
Thanks in advance for any help!
Bob
