    67 427 with/ AC belts, HELP

I have a 67 427 with/ ac, power steering, 4 belts. I ordered a set of 4 from Quanta. I would like to have a napa or other source belt that is reliable. I am worried that the resto belts are good for show but not if you want to put alot of miles on this summer.
Does anyone have experience with thease belts, I just broke the water pump/crankshaft belt, that is tight fit with no adjustment. What is the purpose of this belt?
Looking for suggestions on correct part numbers and which belts I should use.

I have always gone to NAPA or other FLAPS and got several belts near the size. Install each smaller size to get the one that will go on and be tight enough. I always start with the pulley unattached and pry it up and on with the belt in the grove. This is the only way to get one that really fits.

Thank you, I was hoping someone has been there done that and has a list of NAPA part #'s. I was thinking most of the new belts are metric and hard to match to the fractional old belts.

I might be able to get a number off mine, but that is no guarantee that the one you get will be the same. They could vary in length some between belts.

Thanks Wayne, probally the best bet is I do like you say with multiple belts until I get the best fit.

I have used the belts from Quanta for several years and never had a problem and I drive my cars alot.
I found that some of the newer belts from Napa etc. are a bit wider and do not fit in the pulleys as they are supposed to and can jump the pulley.

On long trips I usually bring a couple of extra belts in case one breaks.

Each time I need a belt I use the GM part number in the AIM. Today's technology knows all the conversions, a good parts house will have that technology. Each belt I have purchased has been fine. Good Luck!
