Re: 1967 L79 Alternator Belt
I wanted to provide an update to my alt belt saga.
I was able to get my correct Quanta GM part numbered alt belt onto my '67 L79 today. I did it by removing the top alt adjustment bolt, rotating the alt all the way toward the valve cover and slipping the belt onto the alt pulley.
Then, while pulling on the alt with one hand, I was able to get the alt adjustment bolt in with my other hand. This is where I had problems before.
I was able to tension the belt and all seems well....just need to go for a test drive.
