Keen Parts....quality stuff?

Good day all. Knowing we have many vendors to pick from regarding replacement parts, anyone had any experience with Keen Parts? What was quality of repro part(s) as they compare to other vendors? Do they mimic original with in reason? Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael,

I think everyone's being silent because you have to be more specific. What year Corvette and what part? No one can make a broad statement about any vendor as to their parts' quality or originality. These will vary part-to-part, and sometimes even the same part will vary if there are changes in supplier. That said, I believe that many vendors' parts are obtained from the same sources. Often, folks prefer one vendor over another because of price, completeness of catalog (which can reduce shipping costs over ordering from several vendors), or just who they prefer dealing with in terms of communication and customer service.

Thanks for the opinion Louis. I'm restoring a '66 Corvette convertible....427/390. No particular part(s) in mind or catagory. My inquiry is across the spectrum of all catagories interior, exterior, body, chassis....quality/accurancy of Keen Parts in general as they compare to other vendors...CSC, Volunteer Vet, CC, Paragon...etc. My initial contacts have been welcomed with friendliness.

Keen is straight up. Most of their parts are top of the line. In fact they are the source for many of the parts that other vendors sell.

On most parts one vendor makes them and they all sell the same part. On exhaust parts their are many vendors selling different part. Tom at Keen parts has had lots of parts made. How correct they are you need to ask on each item their is no always correct parts vendor.

Could you give us more of a explanation. One part, numerous parts? What is their responce?

My purpose for the inquiry is I'm looking at using Keen and comparing "their stuff" to other vendors.....reliability, quality and service.

I have been buying parts from Keen for over 6 years, first for a 73 and now for a 76. No problems and a lot of help when needed. I know they are source for some parts offered by others and they offer some parts made by others.
