    1964 - GF90 Fuel Filter

We installed the GF90 on my '64 this week. Can someone please confirm:

    1. The flow arrow, assume that it should point towards the carb?
    2. When installed, should the silk screen part number be upside down or right side up when reading from the passenger side of the car?

    Thanks guys!

    Chuck,

The arrow points in the direction of fuel flow, which would be towards the carb.

Chuck -- to answer your second question, check thumbnail. Pic taken in 1968.

Wayne, As far back as 1968 the GF-90 had deep grooves in it. Amazing. The other day Hanson posted a pic of a 65 that had the same looking filter. Sheds a whole new light (not that new) on the GF-90's. JD

I posted/said early GF-90's had the groove a long time ago. I didn't get much agreement though so I just dropped it.

Thanks, Wayne, nice pic of the filter and great detail on the screw and the square ends on the tangs of the hose clip.
