Somehow it's typical of the current upper crust of NCRS - you post a notice that says the Driveline is on the Internet, but you close it so that those of us who have NOT yet received it cannot comment. Cover your ass and don't allow the critics a voice. I'm sure this will vanish quickly. I'll have to check later and see if the infidell who asked why there were ads of cars for sale W/O VINs has been properly censored. When and if I get my copy, I'm willing to bet that there will be more than 20 such ads, excluding the multi car ads from dealers which NEVER have VINs - must be a "dealer exemption" rule,,,,

Re: Driveline Notice
I, too, was peeved by the fact that that thread was "closed." Couldn't the entire issue about DRIVELINE delivery be solved by posting it on the website at the same time copies were mailed? Even better, eliminate the print copy and save NCRS major expense!- Top

Re: Driveline Notice
Loren,
I've bitched as much as anyone lately about the delivery of the Driveline (or non-delivery) but I believe Gary was just letting members know the Driveline was now available online. This is typical of most websites when administrators want to pass information along to it's members to post a "sticky". If you click on the "Driveline Online" tab at the top it will take you to the ads. Shooter- Top

Re: Driveline Notice
What about the international people receiving driveline. It's only fair to have it online on the day of posting.
Stop pissing and moaning I get mine a month later !!
Put the damn thing online to members. It can't be that hard. Stewy- Top

Re: Driveline Notice
How about something along these lines...Dear membership, to all those not on-line The Driveline will be mailed via USPS the xx of each month. To those connected to the current century, The Driveline will available via the internet the xx of each month.Kramden- Top

Re: Driveline Notice
An NCRS/Chevrolet survey several years ago asked how many members used the internet to find information about their car (or restore their car, or similar wording), and IIRC the answer was about 15% said Yes. Since with surveys "You get what you ask for" I would suspect two things, both previously mentioned on this board in other discussions. First, it was a poorly worded question if you wish to find out how many are connected to the internet or have access. Why? Outside of this board I rarely use the internet to look up info on my Corvettes either. Think about that - me, a guy who is on here every day might have answered No. Second, for anyone to use this question to extrapolate NCRS policy is poor interpretation of the survey. Unfortunately that is exactly what has been done and we continue to see the results.
In our MI Chapter of 200+ members, I believe that the current number of non-connected members is 8 (I don't feel like counting, but it was 7 on a count a few months ago). Less than 4% of our Chapter's total. To extrapolate that would suggest that either a) 96% of current NCRS members have internet and/or e-mail access, or b) Michigan members are so far ahead of the world technologically it is unbelievable.

EXTRAPOLATE I see you like that word Patrick. It's far to large for my vocabulary.

Re: Driveline Notice
I would dispute that, and significantly so.
