C3 Alternator Broadcast Code

I have the original alternator on my 1973 LS4. Judging Guide states "A broadcast code consisting of two black ink stamped letters about 3/8-inch high is stamped on the alternator". In my case, the code should be "RH". It's been worn off or cleaned off ... how do I replace it? Does anyone make a stamp like this?

I have the stamp I had made and could put it on at a regional but I don't have it with me all the time.

Lyle - Thanks for the offer, but I'm on Long Island, so it's unlikely we'll meet. I guess I'll just have a printer make a rubber stamp. The ones I've seen are just simple capital letters, so it shouldn't be difficult.

William, watch Ebay. There's a guy who sells them from time to time, and his price seemed reasonable from what I can remember.

Very nice. BTW any rubber stamp company can make these in a day or 2 for under 10 dollars each usually. It's even better if someone lends it to you of course. If you want your own bring a pic like the above to a rubber stamp shop with the alternator in hand or character measurement so they know what size/font to make the characters. I practiced a few times and found that a light application of semi gloss black paint and not ink gave the best results when stamping.

Thanks. I did make a few stamps with it on a sheet of paper. I probably will have my own made up one day.
