63 Alternator mounting bracket shimming issue

To install AC, I have moved the alternator to the driver side. The original bracket is like every bracket I have ever seen, and has a split pin shim that is driven in the rear hole of the bracket. The pin is tapped in to keep the alternator from wobbling on the bolt. The bracket that I purchased (Corvette Central) for the driver side did not come with such a pin, and the construction of the rear "ear" of the bracket is such that there is not enough metal to allow drilling out the hole to accept the pin. I have tried to use washers as shims, but can't get a precise enough shim to eliminate the wobble. Two questions: 1) Does anyone know where I can get a driver side bracket equipped with the pin, or failing that 2) any suggestions on shimming the one I have?

Steve, I noticed in the AIM that the bracket for the drivers side mount also shows a "bushing" at the rear hole. It sounds like the one that CC supplies isn't the correct part. Did you talk to them about it?

      Rich,
I talked to their product assistence person yesterday; he was going to check and call me back.
