63 SWC carpet fit

I am finishing detailing the interior on my 63 SWC in preparation for it to be judged in 2 weeks.
Have a question on the carpet fit in area behind the seats, were the jack storage is.
Does the carpet end on the vertical surface, or does it wrap around the edge and end , where the jack storage ends. In other words, does the storage cover rests on carpet, or does it rest on the fiberglass surface.
I have the carpet covering the 1" edge surface now, and can still trim it back into the corner, before tack glueing it in place.

Take a look at a post on May 4, 09 titled " 63 carpet; kick pads and wheel well"
A picture of that area, but from a Mar64 car - seems to be the same.

Allen,

I looked at the pic's. One pic showed a corner of the carpet covering the lip.
So, I assume, that's the way it was done, I will let the carpet cover the "shelf" area, so the cover will rest on carpet, when installed...
