67 Convertible top decklid trim piece

Did original vinyl trim pieces have body color paint on them? I'm talking about the thin trim piece that runs horizontally across the leading edge of the decklid, essentially right behind the driver and passenger's neck.

Chris, all the ones I've seen were a clear piece. Bill.

      Chris -

Nope. That trim piece was installed on the Hard Trim Line, well after the Paint Shop, and its color matches the seats.

John, that does not make sense to me. Are you saying that is the car was red, and the seats were black, that the piece would be black?Bill

Yes, that is what he is saying. In fact that is the combination I have, except the trim piece has a little body color red on it. Whoops, someone repainted the decklid and didn't mask that off very well.

Sorry, my mistake, I was thinking about the clear piece that some use to prevent the top from leaving marks on the deck. Yes, the piece he is refering to is seat color. Bill.
