    Headlight bucket supports

I've pulled the front bumpers on my 65 convertible and discovered something peculiar about the bucket/motor support rods going back to the radiator support. The driver's side is perfectly straight while the passenger side is bent slightly about 1/3 down from the bucket. The bend looks to be about 30 degrees. I've had the car since new and it has had no front impacts. Is this normal or was the car damaged in delivery or some other point in the manufacturing or shipping process.

    Tom,

It could be that the factory had to bend the rod to make it fit right. In the past, I have taken a file to the upper end of the rod to make it fit right. Maybe bending it was the easier thing to do.
