Anybody know what brand of gas stations handle the good stuff or an additive that I can add?

Re: 435hp needs higher octane and non ethenol
You can noticeably reduce the engine's octane appetite by installing a NAPA VC-1765 VAC or equivalent and converting to full time vacuum advance. Beyond that you should take the spark advance map, compare it to OE specs, and tell us what you have. The spark advance map has a big influence on detonation.
Additives are worthless. If an optimized spark advance map doesn't solve the problem, you'll have to run a blend of high octane race gas of avgas with he highest octane pump premium you can find.
The other route is to pull the heads, take all the requisite measurments to determine actual CR, then select a head gasket to drop the CR to something that we know should be okay on pump premium.

Go to the local airport for some 100LL avgas. Some will let you pump it right in or get it in 5 gallon containers.Jack Corso

Mine is not high horsepower, but I would try a tank of high grade Shell gasoline first. I have been using it forever. It keeps insides of carbs very clean and my guess would be that the valves are the same...John- Top

Re: 435hp needs higher octane and non ethenol
You can purchase real TEL to increase the octane. Just add when you fill up with premium pump gas. A lot easier than tracking down 100LL or race gas. That is assuming the car really needs more octane, which most will run fine on premuim pump gas. If the car is not experience knock/ping then nothing will be gained with more octane.

Use to run 100LL in my 70. Went to a small local airport. Pulled right up to the tanker. Car loves that stuff.- Top
