Trailing Arm parts

Hi can someone please tell me if the trailing arm spindle supports and caliper brackets are suppose to be painted semi-gloss/ gloss black or if the are cast.

I was looking through the site and found how to look through archives. I found in an archive discussion the answer to my question I think.
I have read a restoration book and it doesn't clearly answer.
Oh well. I'll do what I think looks best.

All the cast parts are natural (unpainted). The front caliper bracket is gold similar to the headlight canisters. The trailing arm sheetmetal weldment is black and has more gloss than the frame on most years.The backing plates change from gold to silver color. They should be silver on 73-77.

Thanks for the information Lyle that is a big help. I am trying to make sure that everything is right as I am putting parts back together on a frame off restoration. I am trying to keep everything as orginal as possible. It is a very difficult task. The website and people like you is a big help.
