Steve, Jerry does his own pipes for C1's (not sure about mufflers) and expect same for rest of their exhaust system line. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Re: kudo's to corvette central
Were any of the parts back ordered? I ordered 5 parts from them 2 months ago. I received 2 of them right away, 2 more over the next month and I'm still waiting for the last part. They sent me an e-mail saying it would be another 2 weeks (just like the other 3 e-mails they sent regarding this part). They have a BIG problem with back orders. Never again.

Re: kudo's to corvette central
Did they charge shipping on the back ordered parts that was their problem by not having what they sell to ship all in one box.
Extra shipping on back orders I will only pay once as this would be my last order. I have no idea what CC does on backorders but hope to find out from the original poster.Lyle

Lyle
They charge the whole shipping amount of the original order when they ship the first item of your order. The rest of your order is charged for the item only as it is shipped. If you cancel any part of your order, you still pay the full shipping amount of the original order.

Re: kudo's to corvette central
I just bought a rear spring for my '63 from them via eBay.. I paid them, including the shipping, and then get a note from "customer service" telling me that the anticipated ship date is 6/22 (over a month delay) because the part has been back ordered.
This is total nonsense. They have no business selling stuff on eBay that they don't have, at lease without disclosure and the ability to pay when the part shows up!
I sent them a note back telling them that 6/22 is unacceptable... let's see what happens.- Top

All;
To be fair to Corvette Central... they have since contacted me and offered to cancel my order and refund the money.... And, just a few minutes ago they contacted me again and said they actually have one after all... and will ship today.
Can't ask for more than that...
Restores my faith in Corvette-dom!!

Re: kudo's to corvette central
Has anyone had any luck with their 69 427 exhaust? I bought their carbon steel set a couple years ago and just put it on last summer and wasn't too impressed.
The passenger side fit "okay" with some very minor heating and bending at one bend but the drivers side was way off. I had to heat and bend it where they join just to get the two together but that's not the end of it. It seems okay until the pipe goes under the diff but from there on the bends are too tight because the muffler ends up about an inch or so too far forward and is noticably pulling on the rear hangar.
I thought this was odd until I put the body back on and now I see that the muffler hits on the lower part of the fender instead of aligning with the recess. Soooo now I have to try and heat each bend aft of the diff to try and "straighten" them a bit to get the muffler more to the rear where it belongs.- Top
