No, there are no perfectly correct door sills. It's all in the rib numbers and some other minor detailing. Many people think the differences are minimal and not worth the price of originals. However, I found a couple pair of originals on ebay that I got pretty cheap (one set under 30.00 and the other around 75.00). Checked them when they arrived and they were original according to the rib count. Have to be careful that the screw holes haven't been drilled out for a larger size screw since these screws apparently come loose easily. Anyway, once you have a good set that isn't damaged in any way (minor scratches are ok, you just don't want any major cuts into the sill), use some standard paint remover and remove all the black paint from the ribs. Once the sills are cleaned up, send them off to King of Trim in Hollywood, CA. They will straighten, polish and re-anodize in satin like originals and a reasonable cost ($125.00 for the pair, I think). Got mine back from them in a couple weeks and they looked great. Got out the blue masking tape and taped off the ribs and sprayed them with multiple coats of black paint. Look like new. I think it is a bit expensive but not as bad as I was told and at least I have looking like new properly anodized sill plates on my car.

Several smaller companies do the anodizing but charge 400-600 to do it because that is the cost of the run. King of Trim is always cleaning up trim and anodizing pieces so there is no single run charge and hence the price seemed way more reasonable to me. Now, do I absolutely positively know that they have been anodized, I can't say for sure, but they certainly have the slightly "dulled" look to indicate to me that they have been. Maybe someone in Cali can go check out the place for us!!
