    carpet screw 1958

Hi, location of the carpet trim screws on the passenger side should be the same as the driver side approx. When I look in these comparable areas of the passenger side I have two holes which have old style rivets in them, and nothing else in the area. Is it safe to assume these are the trim screw locations and I should remove the old rivets? The driver side still had the screw and chrome finishing ring there. If anyone has a photo of the exact location that would really help. Thanks Susan

I don't know if this will be any help to you, but.....my '59 has only two mirror image places where the carpet is screwed down. One is just behind the accelerator pedal, above the slot in the carpet. The other is on the passenger side in the identical location. Both phillips screws w/ trim rings. The one on the passenger side is the only one that is visible (when you don't use any carpet protecters)

I've been showing my car for 3 years now (National TopFlight, Bloomington Gold and Triple Crown) and not one judge has ever had any questions or comments.

Send me your email address and I will send a picture that will be helpful. Tried to do it on this site but was too big of a file. Don't know why.

Richard, photo size is set for 800x600 or 293 kb for a jpg file. Links to photo resizers that work great below. Gary....
