Late 1956 or early 1957 Parts Manual

Anyone have a late 1956 or early 1957 parts manual that can look something up for me. My parts manual is dated April 1, 1956, and I need something later than that. Thanks.

I am looking for information on 1956 distributors. What does the parts manual say is correct for 1956 single and two four applications? Surprise!

Thanks Gary, just what I was looking for.

The 1/1/57 book doesn't show a separate listing for CORV like the 3/1/57
          book does?

          The 3/1/57 books shows:
          56 PASS. w/dual 4BC,
          56 CORV......................w/dual points.....................1110879

          The 1/1/57 book shows:
          56 PASS., CORV w/dual 4BC.......w/dual points...........1110879

          My 4/1/56 book shows:
          56 CORV.............................................. ..............1110860
          56 CORV..............w/dual points.............................1110872

Can you tell me what date the P&A manual prior to the 1/1/57 book is. Should be the "Supersedes Parts Catalog effective ?????? date" on the 1st page of the book.

Anybody know what a 1110860 distributor is?

I am still working on the assumption that all Corvette distributors (single or dual 4BC) are dual point distributors.

Ed, dug into my files and here's what I could easily find for you regarding Group 2.361 Distributor listings for Corvettes. Am expecting copies of a vintage Delco book that I gave away couple of years ago with the Corvette listings next week. Gary....

                Thank you sir.

I still haven't seen anything that convinces me that single four 56s used a vacuum advance distributor.

If it matters, I have a Delco Remy applications book and it's callout for the '56 Corvette shows only the 1110879, and the 1110872. This is from a document dated May 1959, regarding all Delco Remy applications, From Automobiles thru stationary engines.

Thanks Bill. I show the same things from the parts manuals, Chevy by the Numbers book, and the AMA Consolidated Specifications Questionaire.
