    1965 L75 Alternator Adjusting Brace

Does the alternator adjusting brace on a L75 300HP without AC mount to the waterpump with a bolt like in the attached picture of a 64 L76 engine ? Are any washers used for the 4 bolts that mount the water pump ? If not then should I use some anti seize lubricant on the bottom of the bolt head so it torques up evenly ?

My 1965 L75 currently has a stud like the attached picture which is for a big block which I know is incorrect.

I can't see enough detail in the AIM to determine this.

The water pump bolt kit I bought from CC has a long bolt instead of the stud.

    Mark -

I don't have a '65 JG, but the Assembly Manual shows the L-75 alternator brace and installation to be the same as the base engine; that uses the engine plant-installed water pump bolt for the bottom end of the brace.
