    1956 Aim

Has anyone ever seen the 1956 AIM, before the 1957 changes were put in? There are a a lot of things in the 1956-57 AIM that are not correct for 1956 cars. Just wondering if the 1956 AIM is in existance anywhere

Ed, was told along time ago that John Amgwert had one. Change that confuses '56 restorers is the power top ground wire location. Most follow the '57 AIM change and don't see the canceled date was at year model change. Gary....

Not sure, Dick. When I finally got this link working, it took me to the 1956-57 AIM as a three ring binder, issued 9-15-55, revised 1-30-56, copyright 1977. Isn't that our current 1956-57 AIM?

Ed, the AIM copyright 1977 is the current one. Russ Uzes bought an earlier version a year or so back off of e-bay and scanned it in. Was going to send you his website link, but it's gone. This's the last e-mail address I had for Russ rduzes@mac.com sorry don't have a phone no. Gary....

I have Russ' scanned version on my PC. It still have lots of "revised for 1957" type stuff in it. I am really trying to see what was used for 1956, before the 1957 revisions.

Some of the sheets in Russ' version were redrawn in July of 57. The info prior to that is lost (unless I can find an earlier AIM).

              Thanks Gary.

My 56-57 AIM has many but not all of the 57 updates. I had to relocate my websites because the hackers wore me out. All of my websites are now at: Earlycorvettes.com

The 56-57 AIM is at: Electronic Version or Print Version

                Russ
