    Rochester Carburetor Differences

    Hi Guys,
As you might guess, I have another stupid question. My 69 350/300 is supposed to have a Rochester Qjet PN#7029202 for the automation transmission. The current carb on my engine is a Qjet PN#7029207 which is supposed to be for manual transmission. I ordered a "correct" carb for it and again I got the 7029207.
This part number carb seems to run ok. Does anyone know the difference between the manual transmission and automatic transmission carburetors?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brad Hood

my guess is just the throttle arm as the carb for the auto trans would have a place for the kick down cable to attach. i will check the delco rochester parts book and post if there is any internal difference

The fast idle cam was slightly different between the 7029203 and 7029202. However, the 7029207 was sold for years to SERVICE all 1968-69 small block applications. So, as far as functionality for both manual and automatic transmission applications, it has GM's "seal of approval".
