I just ran across something very interesting. This is apparently from the "Straight Axle Corvette Technical Guide - Mechanical"
1-Carb Part No Carter Model Notes
1955-56 3724158 2351S WCFB 1955 after about VIN -1483, 1956 until AIM 5-28-56
1956-57 3733246 2366SA WCFB from AIM 5-28-56 to AIM 1-7-57
This would indicate (at least according to them) that the correct carb for an early 1956 single four car (at least up to 5-28-56) would be a 2351S. After that a 1956 single four car would have a 2366SA carb.
Does that make sense?
My Carter reference indicates that 1956 single four WCFBs (without regard to pass car or Corvette) would be either 2366S or 2366SA. And what exactly is the diffference between a 2366S and a 2366SA?
