Tri Power 3x2 Center Bowl Vent- Usage?

I have a late '69 L68 with carb dates of 992. My center carb has a float bowl vent on top.
Many if not most 3x2 I see do not have this vent.
Does anyone know the time frame of usage of this vent, or if it was only on certain applications?
I looked in the archives and noticed that someone mentioned the -1 after the carb number indicated a vent, but no info on when or what it was used from, or on.

Jamie -- I know little about C3's, nor do I have any of the NCRS manuals, but I do have a late '69 oval tri-power setup, with the center carb [3940929 LIST-4055-1, dated 981] ie. about 3 weeks earlier than yours.

I does have the center bowl vent (rubber flapper on a hinged arm connected to throttle linkage). Sorry I can't offer when this began.

Thank Wayne. I believe most of '69 should have the vent valve. I think many of what I see are service replacements or had their float bowls replaced some time in the past?

I have a early 69 set up, and the center carb is dated 881. It does not have the vent.
