63 carpet; kick pads and wheel well

Two questions so I can finish the carpet install.

    1. There are three pieces of carpet that go over the rear wheel wells, the last piece to install has only one bound edge, seems like it could go either way. Should the bound edge go towards the front (seems to fit better this way) or bound edge to rear of car.

    2. With the carpet I bought, came a pair of "kick pads" no hard plastic on back, assume I just glue down. I also inadvertanly ordered "kick panels with carpet" has five holes to screw in, no glue and the carpet is glued to plastic. Which should I use? Would also love a close up of the wind strip and how it looks going under the sill.

Thanks in advance, I have great photos of the installation all but these last four pieces if anyone needs photos.

From a Mar64 car - should be the same. Its an original kick pad, notice the darker carpet which is new. Double check your AIM to assure the correct screws go into correct locations, two different part numbers. (or that's at least for a 64)

Think this covers the #1 question. It's from a Mar64, but should be the same.
      It is original carpet.

So I just throw away the Kick Pad that came with the carpet and install the Kick Panel with carpet already on it?

Thanks for the photo, they realy speak volumes.
