    Sander,
That is a little town in the middle of the state off the I-5 freeway near Galt and Stockton. Farm and Ranch area.

Off hand, don't know any Corvette people in the area, but many treasures have been found on these ranches over the years.

The oldest Corvette, 1953 vin #003 lived close by at a Turkey Farm near Fresno back in the early 80's.

from the pictures it look like a good candidate for restoration

the article says when asking around at the nabours to ask if it was ok to look around and take picture's they where told the cars where from a musician that was traveling most of the year around the country.

I saw this car about 8 or 10 years ago while stopping to read the CA historical bronze marker in town. Several years later when passing thru town again I stopped and started asking about the car and I got as far as talking with a rather irascible type who implied he was the owner and he clearly wasn't interested in talking about the car. No, he said it wasn't for sale and he made it pretty clear to me that any more questions were going to annoy him further. The car looked to me like it had been sitting thru many a winter in an area of CA that does get snow and it was uncovered the whole time. Good luck to whomever looks into it next. Maybe someone else has now inherited it.
