Re: judging points
Keith,
I'm sure others will comment if I'm wrong but I was under the assumption that Chapter meet judging and tech sessions are worth .1 pt each, with Regional and National Judging and Tech Sessions worth more. I'm not sure of their exact worth. So, if you have only attended and judged at the Chapter and Tech sessions on the local level you have put in 18 hours and that equals your 1.8 level.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: judging points
See the "Dipstick's" post on point assignment. 10 points=LEVEL 1, 100 points a Master, 200 points, red hat, level 300 gold 300 pin, until you reach 400 points. They quit counting after that pointDick Whittington- Top

Re: judging points
Maybe Richard forgot to sign in at one of the schools/events you attended?
When you achieve a level of 20 points, you'll get your Level 2 pin. They don't "round up" in judging points. Roy Sinor only sends these out once per year, so you won't immediatly get a Level 2 pin when you hit 20.
See you later today at Tony's Corvette Shop for the Mason Dixon Chapter Al Grenning seminar. We're leaving at 7 AM.

Re: judging points
The red hat is for being a person who has had a car judged and recived the Duntov award and also has 100 points a Master Judge. I think a person could get both hats at the same National convention with 100 points. The 200 level hat is black.

Unfortunately they won't let you get a black hat and a red hat at the same Nat'l Convention. You have to wait until you attend your next one. In my case I have to wait from 2007 to 2011.
