But even if it's a shill bid, the minimum bid requirement has been met. Won't he owe eBay a commission? I don't pretend to be an eBay rules specialist, FWIW, but what's he going to tell eBay? That it wasn't a 'real' bid, in which case eBay is condoning fraud?- Top

Larry, the seller would owe eBay the sale fee, IF, the car is paid for. If the bidder doesn't complete the purchase, no fee. If the bidder pays the 1.4 million, the seller probably would be happy to pay the eBay final value fee.But even if it's a shill bid, the minimum bid requirement has been met.
