Rear Differential Question

Can anyone help decipher the rear axle ratio code and assembly date codes from my rear end? They appear to be AOW 112 P1. The casting number is 3871375 and the cast date is E 5 5. Looking in the 1965 Technical manual an AO code is a small block 3:70 Posi rear end.

Hi Brian;

Lemme look through my documentation and I will ping you... My offhand recollection is that big block cars were either FA or FB codes... (3.70 and 4.11). Does this one have "U" bolts or bolted caps to the half shafts?

An AO code would be for the 3:70 small block with Posi traction. I still have no idea about the AOW or the 112 P1. Could it have been reconditioned ? It has bolted caps.
