Does anyone know where the POA & TXV capsules can be purchased?

I can't not get my A/C system to run any lower than 25F less than the outside temperature. Seems like to me I had this problem 25 years ago my on 1st 73. The fix was to replace the VIR.

I would contact Old Air Products in Fort Worth, Texas and/or Classic Auto Air in Tampa, Florida. Both have their own websites, just "google" the names.

If you need additional sources/contacts, just let me know. There are a few more out there, but the two listed above should have what you need.

There is also a lot of good/similar AC info in the archives over the last couple of years.

Roger the line from the condensor connecting to the expansion valve "could" be the problem.
If your have a service manual for your 73 look in the air section and you may have a carry over from what I have in my earlier service manuals 69,70,and 71.
You will see a picture of the expansion valve and it will show you the screen that filters "trash" from going past this point.
If this filter is slightly clogged or more you will have a cooling problem.
I removed my 70's screen using an easy out gently inserted and turned to pull it out, the screen is metal.
