Are the metal housings on the rubber bushings on the A arms painted black with the A arms themselves. The new ones that I'm installing look like they have a gray phosphate.

Re: A arm bushing paint
Hi Steve,
The 1963 thru 1967 generation of Corvettes has the complete upper and lower control arms painted as an assembly before installion. This included the control arm, cross shaft, bushing, and cross shaft bolts and washers. The ball joints and lower A arm rubber snubber were installed later after paint. The midyear JG's call for gloss black but most bowtie and service replacement control arms are shade between semi gloss and gloss. I was hoping that some of the C3 folks would have responded by now so hopefully they will correct me if this doesn't apply to the C3 group of cars.
Regards,
