advice on installing a vinyl hard top on a C2

has any one installed a vinyl top on a c2? what i am looking to know if i should remove the rear window? it seems the trim clips will keep me from a clean installation

Yes - can't imagine how you'd be able to apply adhesive and fold the material down along the edge of the opening with the window and weatherstrip in place.

thank you. another question, i notice on tops i see on line the vinyl seems to have a diamond pattern, the cover i have is suppossed to be correct but just seems too shiney and not correct in some way. i have never seen a vinyl C2 top in person but did have a top on my 70 monte carlo SS. it seemed more like a pebble grain. also does spray adhesives work well?
