Tell The Story of Your Favorite Cruise In Your Vintage Vette

Jeffrey Salz recently posted about his first cruise of the season on Woodward Drive and got me thinking that I need an adventure for this summer. But I am looking for inspiration as well as ideas.

Each of us must have a favorite stretch of road somewhere to drive our cars. Maybe it's old Route 66 in Missouri or Arizona (my favorites from last summer) or it's Highway 101 in California. Perhaps it's a stretch of river road along the Mississippi in Minnesota, or the Blue Ridge Parkway from Virginia to North Carolina. Whatever it is, please share the story of your favorite drive in your Corvette.

Here are some pictures of my cars taken over a 16 year period. They are all at the same location in Missouri (I am in Iowa), the most recent was last summer returning from St Louis Convention. Don H.

In August of 1971 my wife to be and I took a trip to Cape Cod from Westminster Maryland in our 71. Took a day to get there, spent 3 days there, and a day to get back. The roof panels were off the whole time, with 69 side exhaust on the car. I think my hearing came back about 95%. One of our best (maybe the best) memories.
I guess you just can't beat being in love and loving cars.

It's good to learn that most of your hearing came back. I'm sure the memories will last longer than the hearing. Thanks for sharing.
