Factory Sticker Placement - Shocks & Master Cylinder

    1972 350/200

I purchased some stickers for my shocks and master cylinder but am not exactly sure of the placement. Can anyone give me some idea as to where they should go on both the shocks and the master cylinder?

Do they go toward the top, center, bottom, etc? Thanks in advance.

The print for the master cylinder shows the tag on the rear bail, but most original cars have it on the front. Put it where you want.

Shock labels are all over the place, except they are usually on the dust shield -- that is the upper portion that contains no functioning parts except the rod. Once the shock is on the car they serve no purpose to either the assembly plant or Chevrolet -- However us pesky NCRS judges want to see them. The fronts are almost a waste -- we (even those judges with two functioning eyes) rarely can see them. Put the labels on the rears where the judge can't miss them.

      Hi Fred,
Here's a picture of the sticker on a rear shock from my 71. Notice that it was placed so the chassis judges could easily see it 38 years later.
      Regards,
      Alan

Master cylinder tags almost always seem to be on the front bail

I have the shock stickers on - thanks to all who helped.

For the Master Cylinder, I still have questions.

The sticker I bought from Corvette Central (#262811) looks like the one attached.

My question is, what does TG mean and why does my MC from Corvette Central (#193246) say PG (is this an issue - should the sticker say PG)?

Should I cut the sticker in half and put one on either side of the bail?

Am I worrying about too little of a detail?

Where did you purchase the stickers for your shock absorbers?
