I have an original glove box/ tire lock key. The knock-out plug is missing. What is the deduction? Thanks, Bill. This is a 67 model year.

I can't imagine anything more than a mention on the judging sheet. Look for old keys at a swap meet and pop them out.- Top

Original Key; finding old B keys with stamped knockouts
Bill,
If you want to pursue the suggestion that Brian suggests, for a proper '67 knockout you need to find one from a "small head" B key with a code number of 0X00 thru 9X99 or 0Y00 through 9Y99. Although '66 and earlier glove box keys and the '68 glove box key look very similar to to the '67 key, the code numbers are different for the earlier and for the '68 keys. So, a old matched set of '67 keys with stamped knockouts is your only choice if you want to fool the judges. The other option is getting NOS small head B key blanks with the knockouts in place and having them cut and code stamped.
