Re: So thats why I have a corvette
My reasons are simple; it allows me to stay in touch with a better time when I could do most of what needed doing to keep my capital equipment maintained.
I took the daily driver Impala in for service last week which included a recall for oil sloshing forward under hard braking could collect in the ignition wire holder and possibly cause a fire. Well, they also inspected the rear valve cover and determined it too was leaking, though not enough for the oil to find it's way to my garage floor. Price quote to replace the rear cover gasket = $487.00.
Also, had them replace (on a guess) the flasher switch as my directional lights were working only intermittently = $136.00. Had to change out the starter as well as the Bendix was hanging up (ever see where it is on an Impala FWD). Had oil changed and tires rotated too and escaped for only $788.00 after my GM employee discount and other coupons worth $39.00.
Guess I felt sorry for them as new cars are not selling, used cars are, plus service traffic is the only thing keeping this, my local Chevy Dealer, in business. But everything I had done on my Impala I could/can do easily myself on my Vette for a lot less time and money.
So that's why I KEEP my old Corvette.

I for one appreciate your "attention to detail" even if I don't always understand it! :-) Frankly I don't give s--t if you're a Gemini or a Galaxy or whatever else they call them in the horrorscopes.
Keep on being scatter brained!
