    1967 Vette Parking Brake

The button & spring in the handle of the parking brake popped out. Can it be reinstall or do you need to replace the entire parking brake handle unit???

That happened to mine also. I just reinstalled the spring and put the button back on the shaft using a small amont of CRAZY GLUE. That was 3 yrs ago and it still together.

If you glue the button & spring, does the button still work so that when you rise the handle the parking brake holds?

              MIchael,

I used a silicone glue on my parking brake button. You have to tape the button closed until the glue takes a set, or the spring will just pop the button out.

I just received my 67 handle back from Jeff Salz on Friday. A true work of art. Do yourself a favor and spend the $200 and it will be better than new. His email is jeffstuarts@aol.com Good luck
