Corvette Consultant

I'm looking at a midyear in NY, just over the CT border near Stamford/Queens. Does anyone know of a trustworthy consultant that I can hire to look at the car for me? I've never used a consultant like this before, so can anyone also give me an idea of what I should expect to pay for this report?

I don't know of anyone in that area, but I think it is a wise decision to find someone to look at the car. I did just that when I bought mine. Paid $250 and received a 4 page report, plus a 45 minute phone call to go over the report. That helped me make the decision to buy (I'm in Pa and the car was in MI). When I compared the car to the report, it was "spot on". As far as I'm concerned, it was money very well spent.

If you check in the Driveline there usually are a number of folks that offer that service.

Charlie Busnack, NCRS # 667 (1957 Fuelie - Duntov, 1961 Fuelie, 1971 LT1 and 1980 "driver") is located here in Central NJ and is a good friend. Charlie helped me with the selection/pricing on my 1963 SWC and my 1965 BB. He has helped a number of other guys with their pre-purchase evaluations.. Not a professional by any means, but he will give you a decent perspective as to what is "correct" and what is not.. along with an idea as to what you might want to pay for a particular car. Charlie works a day job so he is "reasonable". He's not a PC guy... so if you are interested, send me PM and I will reach out to him. He is probably less than 2 hours from you.

Bill Calarico is in New York. He is a 400+ level judge for midyear's.He also restores these cars for a living , so very qualified to inspect cars............
