    71 LS5 power brake line

I have a Sept 70 build (s/n 1632), 71 LS5, 4spd with power brakes. I'm a bit confused about where the vacuum line for the brake booster should attach. In my assembly manual it shows the line connecting to the bottom of the carb and the vac resevoir connection going to a fitting on the manifold. My car has both the resevoir and booster lines going directly to the manifold port and the base of the carb is plugged. I believe this is the way that 70's were done, but I can not find a picture to support it.

Also, the pipe that connects from the booster hose to the manifold does not connect to the accelerator cable bracket on my car. Wheras the pictures I see of later model 71's have it tied to the bracket.

Does anyone have a picture of the vacuum routing for the power brakes on a late 70 or very early 71 LS5?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Re: 71 LS5 power brake line

Does anybody have a picture of the power brake booster vacuum line connection to the intake or carb on a very late 70 or early 71?

    Thanks,
    Tom

Re: 71 LS5 power brake line

My 71 AIM shows the line routed differently then what is on my car. Does anybody have an 70 AIM that they could scan the power brake routing page?

Since my car is a Sept 70 build, I think it may have been done like the 70 LS5's were and not what is shown in the 71 book. I'm just looking for some supporting documentation.

          Thanks,

          Tom
