    Mystery Weatherstripping Pieces

Can anyone help me identify the weatherstrip pieces pictured? They came in a C-3 convertible top weatherstrip kit. I'm working with a bare frame, so have no reference to work from, and I don't see anything looking like these in the AIM. Thanks!!

Let's see if I can explain this right. This piece attaches to the car body near the top rear of the door. This piece is positioned where the rear top of the door, the convertible top (when raised) and the rear deck lid all come together. If you play around with it before attaching it you will be able to see how it fits.

Sorry I forgot the second pic. If I remember correctly the blocks in the second pic attach to the frame of the convertible top. It mates with the piece in the first pic.

It's pretty hard to describe without pictures! Your left photo shows a piece that fits where the soft top rear bow weatherstipping meets the side window rear weatherstipping - there's a little gap between the two, and this piece attaches to the soft top and fills the gap.
My first picture below shows it from the outside, and the second shows it on the inside.
Is your picture on the right another piece? If it is I'm not sure where it goes. Could it be, as Thomas said, the piece that mates with the first? If so this second piece attaches to the body just below the first. See my third pic, which may show it deformed from use.
        Good luck

          Pat,
Both of my pictures are of the same piece, just two different views. Sorry if that caused any confusion. Thank you for posting your pictures; they're very helpful. As I look at them, I'm wondering what year your car is -- I presume some of the fittings I'm seeing are for a hardtop, but what is the "C" shaped piece at the door frame. I've not seen that anywhere.

Joel - my car is a 70, and it's never had a hardtop. And I don't know what the "C" shaped part in the door frame is. There's a bullet-like metal piece on the door that fits into this part, I'm guessing it helps stabilize the door?
