    Horn trivia

    If you were at a Corvette swap meet and saw a set of horns on the ground ,how would you determine which ones were 12V or 6V with out picking them up and checking

    Good one Roy !

    You got me on this one, but I'd guess the top ones with the red around the connectors would be the 12V units correct for 55 V8 ( 759 and 760 units ) and the lower units without the red would be the 6 volt units. Without picking them up though would be tough for me to tell.

    Totally uneducated guess. I know enough about 55's to be super dangerous !

      Your absolutely correct all 12V horns have a red insulators while 6V have white. All Years!!

        That was a good one. Had to do a little research to figure it out, but I got it !!
