Don't worry too much about this one (except to the extent that it portends a future direction). Worry about the "hits" that are coming. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: more gm bad news
I heard a "Good GM" and a "Bad GM". The latter will include the Union Full Health care, etc. Wonder where that will find us Salaried Retirees who already lost our Supplemental Health care. Suppose they will sell our pensions too to the Gov. agency. Guess I'm under the cap though, what ever good that will mean.
Saw a fully equipped G-8 Pontiac w/V8 at Sam's Club for about $27,500. (not bad).

Re: more gm bad news
I received three checks, one for me and one each for two of my dogs. The check included a letter with URL for a survey and user ID#. The letter states that they are "evaluating the content" and working to make CQ "the best source of Corvette news available."
I sure miss Corvette News. I always looked forward to the enthusiast and how to articles. Unfortunatley it was replaced with too much celebrity coverage. I do enjoy the new Corvette articles/specs. I hope it survives along with all other things Corvette.
Now, how do I cash two checks in my dogs' names???- Top

Re: more gm bad news
...given the current situation I'm surprised they're still going to LeMans, but they may have contracts that can't be broken without penalty.
I watched the ALMS race from Long Beach on TV this weekend, and it was said that GM is still going to run a GT2 Corvette in ALMS races after LeMans. We'll see.
BTW, GT2 is turning into a real kick-as... class. I wish they'd just get rid of the prototypes and make it a single GT class under the current GT2 rules. With all the manufacturer support and cars that start from production versions, this is going to be the best racing since the old Trans-Am events from the late sixties to early seventies.

Re: more gm bad news
I've received Corvette News since '74 and agree it was superior to the PR format of CQ. It would seem the writing is on the wall re going to an online format rather than a printed mag, at least based on the survey questions. Another piece of Corvette history gone...at least I've saved them all since '74 and was able acquire quite a few older issues also. Might help supplement the 401K! On the LeMans topic, it is interesting that Steve W. was let go at this time. As another has posted, the sponsor contracts/committments, etc. are probably so costly to break that GM has no choice but to participate. This is not shaping up to be a good year...- Top
