62 Fawn Beige w/Red interior - Trunk mat?

I see in the spec guide that if the exterior color was Fawn Beige, interior could be fawn or red. Inside trunk interior was also body color......fawn. If a fawn beige car had a red interior, what about the trunk mat? Fawn or red?

My fawn 62 w red interior had a red mat when I purchased it in 1968.

The 62 changed stripes in the 70s ( easy sell red ) Kinda feel sad I didnt leave the exterior original as there were only about 800 fawn w. red interior made.

I have a 62 Almond Beige ( approx 820 Almond cars produced) car with a red interior. There is no reliable interior color data available as far as I know.
Since there was no coding of the exterior or interior colors (until 1963)with each individual car I don't think you can accurately say 800 Fawn cars were produced with red interiors.
Does anyone else have some more information on this subject??

Red, absolutely. I have several very original 62 beige/red cars in my files from the late 70's and early 80's--red mat with red interior, regardless of the body color.

Mike...Your right ! I had the same color combination on my '61. Fawn Beige/ Red interior.Trunk mat was Red.

#4070 is and always has been Almond biege with a red interior. The trunk mat and liner are original to the car and are red as they should be. All painted surfaces in the trunk are Almond biege.

My old 62 # 5322 was Fawn with red. made a good looking car. sold it about 1990 ..Any body out there have it now ????
