71 steering column

I have been working on trans interlock system . reinstalled the key cylinder and got it to lock but the only way the steering wheel will lock is in the accessory position. When it is in accessory there are no electrical component working. Also it looks like sector might have a broken tooth. Looks like I might have to pull the column. does anyone know of a re builder in the southeast Michigan area. Thanks Bob

Just a thought..You say that there is no electrical component working in the accessory position. Did you happen to "mess" with the Ignition Switch halfway down the column under the dash ? Maybe it needs to be adjusted. I know on mine there is a "fine line" between Off and Acc. Again..just a thought on the no power issue.
